3. a omite, a lăsa deoparte, a scăpa din vedere; a uita; a lăsa (un lucru) nefăcut;

he neglected to write / writing in time a uitat să scrie la timp.

4. a nu îngriji de, a lăsa în părăsire, a nu folosi.

neglect II. substantiv

1. neglijenţă, lipsă de grijă sau atenţie, nepăsare, indiferenţă;

the neglect of one's children lipsă de grijă faţă de proprii copii.

2. omisiune, scăpare, uitare.

3. neîngrijire, părăsire; delăsare;
